Dashboards, built or imported

Arrange insight cards on a drag-and-drop grid and resize them to fit. Or import the dashboards you already have in PostHog: HogLens checks every insight first and tells you which ones it can show, re-syncs when the original changes — never without showing you what changed — and re-analyses earlier imports when a chart type it could not show becomes available.

Insights without a query language

A visual builder for trends: several series on one chart, property filters, breakdowns, and the date range you need. Nine chart types:

  • line and cumulative line
  • bar, stacked bar and area
  • bar total and pie total
  • funnel and retention

Events as they happen

Live event monitors stream events from a project. Highlight rules flag the ones you care about, filters cut the rest, and the detail panel shows the full payload as JSON, XML, a tree or raw text.

Any PostHog, several at once

PostHog Cloud EU, PostHog Cloud US or your own self-hosted instance, with presets for the two clouds. Keep as many connections and projects as you work with, and switch between them from the sidebar.

Every device, one set of dashboards

Connections, projects, dashboards and event monitors sync through your own iCloud, so what you set up on the Mac is on the iPhone a moment later. API tokens do not sync: each device keeps its own in the Keychain, and they are never uploaded anywhere.

Take it with you

Export a dashboard or a single insight as PNG or JPEG for a slide or a chat, straight to Photos if you like — or as CSV, XLSX, JSON or PDF when you need the numbers rather than the picture. The interface speaks thirteen languages and switches inside the app, independent of your device language.

HogLens is a paid app. Every plan unlocks everything — there is no free tier and nothing is held back per feature. The monthly and yearly plans start with the first month free; the lifetime purchase is one payment, no trial, no renewal. Family Sharing is on for all three.

Prices shown are for the Swiss App Store in Swiss francs. App Store prices vary by region — open HogLens on your device, or the App Store listing, to see the price where you are. Purchases, renewals and refunds are handled entirely by Apple.

Your analytics stay between you and PostHog.

HogLens talks to your PostHog server directly. There is no account with me, no server of mine in the middle, and nothing about your product's data ever reaches me.

  • Your PostHog API tokens live in your device's Keychain. They are not synced through iCloud and are never sent anywhere except to your own PostHog server.
  • Anonymous usage analytics — which features get used, how long a dashboard takes to load, which errors occur — are off until you switch them on, go to PostHog Cloud EU, and never contain your PostHog data, tokens, server addresses or project names. Settings → Privacy turns them off again.
  • Two small read-only requests go to me: a configuration file from api.hoglens.app and a news feed from ctnk.kreaniqs.com. Neither carries an identifier. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what each one sends.
  • No advertising, no tracking across apps, no sign-up.

Questions

Before you ask.

Do I need a PostHog account?

Yes. HogLens is a client for PostHog, not a replacement for it. You connect with a Personal API key from your PostHog settings; it needs read access to projects, queries, event definitions and dashboards. Get one at posthog.com if you do not have an account yet.

Does it work with a self-hosted PostHog?

Yes. Choose the self-hosted option when adding a connection and enter your server's address. PostHog Cloud EU and US are presets.

Is there a free version?

No. The monthly and yearly plans start with the first month free, so you can use everything before paying anything. The lifetime purchase has no trial. Whichever you choose, every feature is included.

Does my PostHog data go through your servers?

No. The app talks to your PostHog instance directly, and I have no server that could see it. The only things HogLens fetches from me are a configuration file and a news feed, both read-only and without identifiers, and the only thing it sends me is anonymous usage analytics — if, and only if, you switch them on.

Which languages does it speak?

English, English (UK), German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Ukrainian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, switchable inside the app without changing your device language.
